Designed with safety in mind, this rugged and reliable handheld with DSC function gives you extra peace of mind while out on the open water. Very simple to use, the M94D offers 6W s output power and a 2400 mAh Li-ion battery, allowing up to 10 hours of usage. An internal GPS provides coordinates at your fingertips anywhere the open seas take you. With the integrated AIS receiver, vessel traffic information is shown on the display. When you are coming through heavily congested areas this can provide you the ability see vessels around you and provides added peace of mind for you and your crew! The AIS target call function allows you to easily set up a DSC individual call. Distress calls can be made with the rear panel button, and when you press the Distress button when the float n flash is activated it will transmit the MOB Signal for added protection of shipmates. If your Icom 94D ends up going overboard the VHF will float and flash showing you its exact location, even if it s turned off! The built-in Aquaquake feature vibrates at a certain frequency to remove water from the grill, but with a water rating of IPX 7 will insure it can take submersion as well. The easy to read display has backlighting that is dimmable to adjust for changing lighting conditions, so you can clearly see the content on the screen. Have a lot of noise on the deck? Icom knows this is typical so they added a high powered capacity built in speaker with improved sound clarity with the loud 1500mW audio output.
